Jumolhari Trek

Breathtaking view dominated by snow capped mountains, rivers, lakes, thick forests of rhododendron, oak, blue pine, golden brich, juniper and wildlife like snow leopards, blue sheep,Takin, musk deer, marmots are special features of this trek.

Season: March to June & September and October

Day 1: Arrive Paro, overnight at the hotel in Paro.
Day 2: Paro-Shana, distance 14kms,time –5/6 hours, max alt. 9,240ft. Overnight Camp.
Day 3: Shana-Yaksazampa, distance-18kms, time-8/9 hours, max alt. 12,000ft. Overnight camp.
Day 4: Yaksazampa-jangothang, distance-20kms, time-6/7 hours, max alt. 13,750ft. Overnight Camp.
Day 5: Jangothang-lingshi, distance –19kms,time-7/8 hours, max. alt.15,500ft. overnight Camp.
Day 6: Lingshi- Shodu, distance –20kms, time –7/8 hours, max. alt. 16,100ft. Overnight camp.
Day 7: Shodu-Barshong, distance –13kms, Overnight Camp.
Day 8: Barshong- Dolam Kencho, distance –134kms, time –5/6 hours, overnight Camp.
Day 9: Dolam Kencho – Dodina, distance – 14kms time –5/6 hours drive to Thimphu, overnight at the hotel in Thimphu.
Day 10: Thimphu sightseeing and drive to Paro, sightseeing and overnight at the hotel in Paro.
